Marks & SPENCER: FinD YOUR SHAPEWEAR
Marks & Spencer invited me to work at their headquarters in London for 2 weeks to work on a Shapewear Guided Selling tool that would live on their website. This tool would guide the customer through a few questions and then providing shapewear recommendations at the end.
QUESTIONS
I helped the M&S team with the flow and the questions that were necessary to ask. We worked closely with the Lingerie & Underwear department to come up with the questions. We came up with 6 questions to help narrow their results:
- What would you like your shapewear to do?
- What sizes do you usually wear?
- What is your body shape?
- What level of support is right for you?
- Does your shapewear need to be worn under a specific outfit?
- What colour shapewear would you like?
WIREFRAMES
After the questions were nailed down, I wireframed the tool keeping Guided Selling best practices in mind, such as including a progress to show where the user is in their journey, allowing users to save/print their recommendations, and providing the right amount of context to help explain questions and selections. I put together a annotated wireframe document with the M&S UX Manager.
DESIGN
Once we were happy with the wireframes, I collaborated with their visual designer on the final designs. Using M&S brand and assets, we were able to complete the tool.
